Rules of the game

Need a refresher on the rules of the game before the first competition? Don't worry, we have a set of rules right here, based on the Danish Minigolf Union.

  • The courses are played in order and you are allowed to walk on them.
  • The aim is to hit the ball into the hole in as few strokes as possible.
  • One shot counts as 1 point.
  • A player has a maximum of 6 attempts to hole the ball. If this is not achieved, the player is scored 7 on the course and has completed the course.
  • The first shot is played from any place in the starting field.
  • If the ball comes to rest at the hoop or at an obstacle, the ball may be moved to the line at a right angle to the line.
  • If the ball bounces out of bounds, it must be placed on the line of touch next to the point on the strip where it bounced out.
  • It should be noted that jumping out of bounds does not give any kind of penalty points!
  • At the end of the round, the scores are added up and the player with the lowest score wins.
  • You are of course welcome to play with your own rules - as long as everyone in the group plays with the same set of rules.

Have a great time!
